Sunstone is said to be the “Bringer of Light” stone. It helps lift dark moods.
It’s perfect for these winter days where the sky is grey & we wait for days to see our beloved suns face again. I like to wear Sunstone when I’m feeling blue or having less energy than I would like. Several years ago, my good friend Tara gifted me a Sunstone silver ring & it’s one of my favorites to wear! You’ll see Sunstone rings, earrings, bracelets & pendants sometimes inside Moon. It’s not as common as say Amethyst or Citrine, so we can’t always offer it, which makes us excited when we can. Typically we always have a bowl full of tumbled Sunstones at Moon for you to enjoy. When you look at Sunstone you’ll see little flashes of fire. “Sunstone is a member of the Feldspar family, and is named for its warm shades of gold, orange, reds and browns that sparkle like the sun. Inclusions of Goethite or Hematite refract light between the different crystal layers and produce an iridescent effect as the stone is viewed from various angles.” This is an Abundance stone. If you are a person that likes to set up altars in your home or office, add Sunstones to your Abundance/Money/Prosperity spaces. If you work with your Chakra System, Sunstone placed on the solar plexus helps life repressed emotions & transmutes them. This is simple to do while laying down in your bed, couch or even while in your healing herbal baths. “Call on the Sunstone crystal meaning and learn how to make peace with your past mistakes. After all, it’s our imperfections that help us grow and transform. Wherever you happen to be on your spiritual journey, hold the Sunstone crystal in your hand and give yourself permission to love yourself unconditionally, letting go of painful memories of the past and moving forward, just like the sun rises and sets in the never-ending cycle of night and day”
